Pastor David Long-Higgins

Rev. David Long-Higgins

Our Senior Pastor, the Rev. David (Dave) Long-Higgins, was called to David’s UCC in 1996. He is a graduate of Heidelburg College (B.A. in psychology and violin performance) and earned a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. He is currently a student in the Wellstreams Spiritual Direction Traning Program in Columbus.

Pastor Dave has a passion for encouraging people in their discovery of the reality of God’s love. He is especially interested in the call of faith which brings together spirituality and justice as a way of living God’s vision for a world where all may thrive.

He is deeply committed to global engagement and ministry which partners with others around the world for the up-building of the human family and the care of God’s whole creation.

Dave is married to the Rev. Beth Long-Higgins. They have two adult children, Andrew and Hannah. Beyond ministry, Dave enjoys laughing with his family, traveling to new and interesting places, bicycling, photography and playing the guitar and violin.

P.S. The church is not named after him. And yes, “world peace is a part of his vision”.
