Bible Study is on Summer break and will resume in August 16th at 10:00am in the Church Library.
Children & Youth Sunday School Classes
Children & Youth Sunday Classes will resume September 12th, time to be determined. Enjoy your Summer Break!
Traditional Worship has an energy that is grounded in the gift of hymns you know and love sprinkled with some new songs, keeping us connected to tradition but also creatively open.
This worship follows a three-year cycle of scripture readings which gives a person a sense of the grand sweep of the Bible over time while connecting it to our 21st century lives.
You will experience the richness of our adult and children’s choirs, and bell choir. A special children’s message is included in this worship. Communion is celebrated monthly during worship.
Contemporary Come Beloved Worship
Our Contemporary Worship, called Come BeLoved, features an outstanding band! This Worship offers music that you might often hear on the radio, but framed with a spiritual twist. We call these “plain clothes” hymns or songs to help your spirit soar. Monthly themes help us dig into scripture and make connections that help us re-tune our lives to the love of God. Videos and hands-on experiences help to create memorable experiences which strengthen our sense of God’s alive presence and deepen our sense of calling. Communion is celebrated monthly as part of worship.
Rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. (September – May)
The Hallelujah Ringers practice each Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. (September – May)
Our Children’s Choir is for those who can read, through the 8th grade. (November – April)
Come BeLoved Band
A combo of vocalists, with guitar, keyboards, violin and other instruments plays each Sunday morning for our Come BeLoved service at 10:00 am.
Our vision and mission is to
help connect people to faith.
At David’s United Church of Christ, in Canal Winchester, we recognize that when it comes to worship one size doesn’t fit all.
Some are fed by a more Traditional liturgy, grounded in the three year cycle of Bible readings called the lectionary, and attentive to the church year which follows the life of Christ.
Others prefer a more Contemporary Worship that is thematically based and uses a style of music that is more like what you might hear on the radio.
Whatever your worship style preference may be, you will discover that at David’s we believe that the heart the Christian life is self-giving love. Join us on the journey!
